Pokémon: Guides and Tutorials by Game
Pokémon is much more than catching creatures: behind every game there are hidden mechanics, secrets the game never explains and plenty of things you can see and change if you know where to look. Here I've gathered all my Pokémon guides, tutorials and trivia, tested by me on both emulator and console.
Below you'll find all the content organised by game. If you're looking for ready-to-use codes, you'll find all the Pokémon cheats sorted by game and console in their own section.
Pokémon X and Y
The first main-series games for Nintendo 3DS and the debut of the sixth generation in the Kalos region. They were the first Pokémon games with a fully 3D world and introduced new features such as Mega Evolution and the Fairy type.
In this section you'll find a bit of everything: tutorials to modify the game from the inside, like changing the camera to see Kalos from impossible angles, guides to get more out of your playthrough, and trivia and secrets that go unnoticed at first glance.
FAQs
Can I follow these guides on a 3DS or only on an emulator?
You can do it either way. On PC, with an emulator such as Citra or Azahar, it's usually faster and more convenient. On console you need a 3DS with Custom Firmware. In each guide I explain the steps for both cases.
Do I need technical knowledge to follow them?
No. Each guide is designed to be followed step by step even if it's your first time: I explain what you need, what you have to do and what each change does.
Will there be content for more Pokémon games?
Yes. I'll keep adding guides and tutorials for more games to this page as I publish them, each in its own section.
