Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire Cheats | Codes for Citra & 3DS

Welcome, Pokémon Trainer! Are you looking for the best Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire cheats and codes? In this updated guide, you'll find everything you need for your adventure on Citra, Azahar, or Nintendo 3DS. Get Infinite Money, items like Rare Candy (x999), catch shiny Pokémon more easily, and max out your team's stats during battles.

These codes work on consoles and emulators, but they require the latest update (v1.4). If you don't have it installed yet, you can download it below.

Note: all the cheats in this guide work in both versions of the game. However, when the code shows a version selector (OR/AS), make sure to choose the option that corresponds to your game —OR for Omega Ruby and AS for Alpha Sapphire—, because selecting the other option will have no effect.

Money & Items Cheats

With these Pokémon Omega Ruby cheats, you’ll get unlimited money, Rare Candies, and essential key items with ease. Use these codes to fully equip yourself from the very beginning and enjoy your adventure to the fullest on a real 3DS or using Citra.

  • View IVs and EVs. View your Pokémon’s IVs by holding the L, and its EVs by pressing R on the party screen. To ensure the values show correctly, switch between different Pokémon (for example, view one, then another, and go back to the first). Once done, Individual and Effort Values will appear in real time.

Note: When checking EVs, a minor visual glitch may occur where your Pokémon looks fainted, even though it is not. This is only a graphical issue and doesn't affect gameplay in any way..

  • Wild Pokemon Modifier. With this code you can generate a wild Pokémon with the characteristics you want. You just have to enter the Pokémon's number in the Pokédex in hexadecimal (where it says XXX), choose the level (XX), and define if it will be in normal form (X = 0), megaevolution or Primal Reversion (X = 1). You can also turn it shiny (X = 1, or 0 for not being so).

Now, go to the Route 110 or Petalburg Woods (these areas are recommended to avoid game freezes, although I have to say that it has worked for me anywhere), and open the Dexnav. Walk until you detect a Pokémon and sneak up on it to start the battle.

Note: If you play on Citra, you must assign a key to “Circle Mod” in the control settings so you can carefully approach a Pokémon. Hold down that button while using the joystick to move and avoid detection.
If you’re playing on Nintendo 3DS and use this code, disable it before throwing the Poké Ball if you plan to catch the Pokémon. Otherwise, after the capture the game will freeze on a black screen and you won’t be able to continue your save.

    • Infinite Stats. All your Pokémon will have 9999 points in each stat during battles. This allows you to easily defeat any opponent and withstand all attacks. To activate it, press the START button right after entering battle and every time you send out a new Pokémon.

The code is set to automatically apply to all 6 Pokémon in your team when they enter a free turn. If you want to limit it to fewer Pokémon because your team isn’t full, replace the value “5” in the code with the number of Pokémon you want minus 1 (for example, use “2” to affect only 3 Pokémon). ⚠️ If you don’t adjust this correctly, the cheat won’t work and the game will crash.

Note: To modify the stat values, change 270F to the hexadecimal number you want, being Attack, Defense, Special Attack, Special Defense and Speed respectively.

    • Max Out All Stats. Instantly boost all your Pokémon’s stats to +6 at the start of any battle. To activate it, press the R button right as the battle begins.

Just like the previous cheat, it’s set to affect all 6 Pokémon in your team when they enter on a clean turn. You can customize it by replacing the code value “5” in the code with the number of Pokémon you want minus 1 (for example, use “2” to affect only 3 Pokémon). ⚠️ If you don’t adjust this correctly, the cheat won’t work and the game will crash.

Note: To change the stat boost values, replace 0C in the code with the hexadecimal value you want (base value for +0 is 06), being Attack, Defense, Special Attack, Special Defense, Speed, Accuracy and Evasion respectively.

To enable cheats in your game, your Nintendo 3DS must be modified with a Custom Firmware (CFW) such as Luma and follow these steps:

Install the BootNTR Selector program (if you have a Nintendo Old 3DS/2DS the file called BootNTRSelector_Mode3).
Once installed, insert the SD card into your computer and create a folder called Plugin in the root of your SD card.
Inside it, create another folder named the same as the title ID (000400000011C400 for Omega Ruby and 000400000011C500 for Alpha Sapphire).
Inside that folder paste the following file plugin.plg.
Now create a "cheats" folder in the root of your console's SD card.
Create a .txt file with the name of the corresponding title ID
Paste the codes into the file following this format: first, type the name of the cheat in brackets, for example [infinite_money], and just one line below (pressing Enter) paste the code you want to use from this article. Just leave a blank line between each cheat.
Reinsert the SD card into the console.
Turn on the console and open BootNTR Selector.
    Open the game.
If all goes well, a green screen will appear when you start the game.
When you load your game, press the SELECT button and select the cheat you want to activate.

How to enable cheats in Citra and Azahar?

To use cheats on the latest version of Citra, follow these steps:

Open Citra and go to Emulation Configure current game Cheats in the top menu.
In the cheats window, choose a name for the cheat you want to add.
Paste the cheat code into the corresponding field, where it says Code.
To activate the cheat, you need to check the box next to its name. By default, this box is unchecked, so you will have to select it manually to activate the cheat.

With these steps, you will be able to easily use the cheats within Citra.

How do I know if my game is version 1.0 or 1.4?

Before continuing your game, on the touchscreen (bottom), look at the top-right corner: it will show “Ver. 1.x" (e.g. Ver. 1.4).

How do I update the game to version 1.4 on Citra/Azahar(PC)?

To update the game to version 1.4, simply follow these steps:

In Citra, go to File → Install CIA.
Select the .CIA file from the 1.4 update I provided at the beginning of the post.
The next time you open the game, you will have version 1.4 installed.

Do you have a cheat file for this for citra mmj

      1. Scontra says:

Hi there! I don't have a specific cheat file for Citra MMJ. All the codes are provided in plain text in the article, so you can simply copy and paste them into your emulator's cheat section.

I do have a community-made .plg file available, but please note that it only includes some cheats and doesn't contain all the ones listed in this post. Hope this helps!

Do you know how I can update my game on android?

      1. Scontra says:

Hi! You can check your current version on the bottom (touch) screen—just look at the top right corner. I’ve included a screenshot in the FAQ section of this article so you can see exactly where it appears

To update to v1.4, download the update file provided at the beginning of this post and install it. I haven't used 33ddss personally, but in Citra, the process is: Options -> Install CIA

If you can't find a similar option, I recommend switching to Citra or Azahar. They are much more popular and have plenty of tutorials and support for these kinds of features

Third Person Camera Code don’t work , i have Version 1.4 , for example Camera zoom does work

      1. Socthar says:

Hi there! That’s odd. Usually, if the zoom code is working for you, the third-person one should as well, since they both use the same pointer to locate the memory address. Could you let me know if you are playing on 3DS or Citra?

Have you tried 'refreshing' the scene? Sometimes you need to enter and exit a building (like a house or a Pokémon Center) for the values to update and trigger the effect. Also, keep in mind that in certain locations like Mauville City, the camera is locked by default, so the cheat won't work there. I’d need to investigate further to develop a new code specifically for those zones. It should work perfectly in places like Littleroot Town tho

I'm trying to do a Dark-type Nuzlocke on Omega Ruby. What number would Sableye be for the cheat?

      1. Socthar says:

Hi! The number of Sableye in the National Dex is 302, so for the cheat you need to convert that number to hexadecimal. In this case, 302 is equal to 12E, so 12E is the number you need to write in the cheat 🙂

In Version 1.4, the 100% capture rate and capturing the trainer's Pokémon do not function. Is there a specific timing when you need to enable Cheat On?

      1. Socthar says:

Hi! For the trainer’s Pokémon cheat, you need to enable it on the turn the Pokémon you want to catch is sent out. Otherwise, you’ll see a message like “You can’t target when there’s more than one Pokémon” and you won’t be able to throw Poké Balls.
As for the 100% capture rate: you were right—before, you had to press SELECT + UP to enable it, but the code is now fixed and no button press is required. Sorry for the inconvenience!

        1. yakumo says:

When I tried it as instructed, the trainer bounced the ball and it didn't work.
The new code with a 100% capture rate also crashes.

I'm running it on an old 3DS with FW 11.17.0-50J, Luma 13.3.3, Plugin Loader, and Action Replay.

          1. Socthar says:

Hi again! I’ve fixed the “Catch Trainer’s Pokémon” cheat. The previous version only worked on Citra (not on 3DS), but I’ve now tested the new one on 3DS and it works perfectly.

As for the 100% catch rate cheat, you now need to press START + UP before throwing the Poké Ball. I tested it on my 3DS as well, and it works fine. Please let me know if everything works now or if you still find any issues.

            1. yakumo says:

I tried the updated code, but the trainer Pokémon capture cheat still didn't work.

Why do the xp multiplier just give me 1xp instead

      1. Socthar says:

Hi! If you use a multiplier greater than ×255, the game gives you 1 EXP because it stores the value in 1 byte (only 0–255 are valid), so it overflows. It’s now fixed, and any codes with multipliers above 255 have been removed. Thanks for pointing this out, and sorry for the inconvenience!

        1. TOY says:

Is it possible to change save data from another language into Japanese?

    30. Kai says:

Wild shiny encounter is wrong, a normal pkmn lv 100 appears

      1. Socthar says:

It works for me on Citra. Are u pressing L before the encounter and playing in 1.4 version?

        1. Jacob says:

This in fact happens to me with being up to date 1.4 and citrus. I tried to do the same thing and it just turns all the pokemon too level 100 instead of it being shiny. Idk how to fix this but yeah.

          1. Socthar says:

Hmm that’s weird, I just tested it again and it’s working perfectly for me. I mean, I could understand if the Shiny didn't show up, but it’s super strange that it turns them level 100 instead. Pressing L before the encounter should automatically trigger the Shiny. If I had run into this error before with other cheats, I’d tell you how to fix it, but tbh I have no clue why that’s happening.

The only thing I can think of is using the Wild Pokemon Modifier cheat instead. You could force the specific Pokemon you want to appear (I guess you want one from that route, so you'd just need to input its Hex ID there) in its Shiny version.

If all else fails, feel free to add me on Discord (Scontra#3272) and we can try to look into it more closely to see what's going on
